Controller: Jürgen-Markus Donko, Unionstraße 34, 4020 Linz, Austria; kontakt@helfernhelfen.at.

Hosting

The website is hosted by easyname. The hosting service processes connection data, such as IP address, request time and requested page, for delivery and security. This website embeds no analytics or advertising trackers.

Forms and contact

We store the details you submit (name, email, enquiry, message and optional non-binding donation amount), submission time and contact request in a protected database on our hosting. An email to the responsible initiative mailbox is also queued. This serves to handle your enquiry or expression of interest. Please do not submit health information. Registering donation interest does not initiate a payment.

Processing serves your enquiry and, where relevant, preparation of membership or cooperation you request (Article 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR). Details are retained as long as needed for your enquiry; the controller reviews this need. You may request deletion unless a retention duty applies.

Newsletter

A separate signup and email confirmation are required. We store your email, optional name, signup time, confirmation and subscription status, based on consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). Unconfirmed signups are deleted after seven days during scheduled processing. Publishing a new blog post queues an email with the article link. Each newsletter contains an unsubscribe link; confirm on the page it opens. Other forms do not subscribe you to the newsletter.

Unsubscribed recipients receive no further newsletters. The unsubscribe status remains documented until the controller deletes the record. You can request deletion by email.

Technical processing

A necessary session cookie protects forms and administration. Short-lived keyed hashes derived from IP addresses limit abuse and are cleared after one day during scheduled processing. The database is outside the public web directory. Email uses the hosting mail service. Failed send jobs remain queued for retries; jobs accepted by the mail server are removed after 30 days during scheduled processing.

Protected backups support recovery. Deleted information may remain in an older backup until replaced. The controller protects exports and backups and considers deletions during recovery.

Your rights

Subject to legal conditions, you can request access, rectification, erasure, restriction and portability, object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw consent for the future. Contact kontakt@helfernhelfen.at. You can complain to the Austrian Data Protection Authority: www.dsb.gv.at.
